I found out that I need to travel for work the week before Eagleman's AquaVelo. I leave Saturday night for Singapore for a few days, then to Hong Kong, followed by a 16 hour flight back to NY next Friday and finally a drive to Maryland for the race. I sure hope they don't test the folks that come in last place for Ambien as part of the drug test policy.
Still have this Saturday for a last chance taperish workout and the hotel I'm staying at supposedly has a 25m pool. I'm expecting to be stylin' some compression socks on the plane. Everyone will be jealous I'm sure.

That is not just traveling...wow that is world traveling....How do you stay sane moving through all those time zones! Good luck with the travel and the up coming races!
Holy crap! Good luck with the crazy travel - I might have some Red Sox compression socks you could borrow :) I know you are a big fan! So are you a Yankee or a Met guy? I am guessing Yankee - so we can have some fun next time they play each other! :)
Ouch! That is not a fun way to go the week before a race! Stupid jobs--don't they realize people have races? ; )
Good luck with it all.
Compression socks on the plane have SAVED me on many occasions (OK...only once, but it was worth it...notbody was lookin' up my pants...that I know of)
I hope you are able to go business or first class on the flights...makes all the difference in the world on the international flights. Enjoy the trip!
Wow! That's some traveling! Rock Star Tri goes international!! I can't wait to hear about the trip and how your race goes...
I am jealous already!!
Have fun at the aquabike, I sure did
Well, who knew that Rock Star was a globe trotter?:) Yea, I am sure all of the other passengers will be jealous of your very stylish compression socks:) You will be smart to wear those babies. Take care and have a nice weekend!
BTW, I read your smart butt comment about my computer being broken:) Very funny!
Hell I think you should go all the way. Five toed compression socks, spandex, and a smelly jersey top. Then all you need to do is let your head fall on the shoulder of the person next to you when you fall to sleep and you'll be good to go. Haha. Sounds like a fun trip. Find enjoyment in the whole journey. It'll be tiring, but something you'll remember.
Wow. That is a challenge.
I am sure the socks will become the next big trend. Non running even.
